We believe that there is no one size fits all when it comes to your child’s ability to learn and be successful

in the classroom.

It is important to find out why your child is not performing to their potential.

If you know that your child is capable of more than his/her grades reflect and you are at a loss as to what to do, give us a call. Many times tutoring is not the answer. Along with you, we will develop a program that gives your child the skills needed to be happier, more independent and ultimately more successful.

We are authorized providers of the following programs:

PACE® (Processing and Cognitive Enhancement) is a twelve-week, intensive program for children ages six through eighteen who demonstrate difficulty with reading, spelling, attention, comprehension and math. PACE® strengthens or develops the underlying thinking processes that support academic skills. Unlike other learning disability programs that focus on specific academic skills, PACE® targets the brain's overall processing abilities.

The purpose of the intense PACE® program is to establish stronger neurological pathway connections, produce significant changes quickly, and to ensure measurable cognitive changes. Through fast-paced, fun activities, cognitive skills are developed in areas of auditory and visual processing, working memory, processing speed, attention, logic and reasoning, and phonemic awareness. Skills are highly integrated throughout the program, as successful academic learning requires integration of the skills.

MTC® (Master the Code) is a reading, spelling program based upon scientific research and incorporates the components of a good reading program.   These components are teaching underlying skills, use a sound to code basis, and teaching alternative spelling sounds and code overlap.

MTC® is unique in that it embeds the standard English reading code to an automatic level instead of passively teaching lessons that are easily forgotten in a short period of time.  MTC® is a sound-to-code reading/spelling Program.  It is modeled after the process by which spoken language is first learned.  Reading and spelling are taught concurrently through techniques that train learners to accurately recognize and understand letters and letter combinations, and their corresponding sounds of speech.

MTC® aids individuals of all ages who struggle with reading, but is especially beneficial to student-readers who have developed inefficient and inaccurate reading habits.

The Interactive Metronome® (IM) is a research-based training program that helps children and adults overcome attention, memory, and coordination limitations. IM® works for people of all ages who have a variety of conditions affecting their cognitive and physical abilities.

There exists a growing body of literature describing the neural timing deficits in ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, Reading Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorder, Parkinson’s, and other conditions.  Traumatic Brain Injury or Stroke may also disrupt timing in the brain. By addressing timing in the brain with Interactive Metronome® (IM) alongside functional therapy interventions you are not only addressing areas of ability that impact achievement and independence but also the heart of the problem, that of deficient neural timing within and between regions of the brain that are underlying many of the problems you are working on in therapy.  This leads to more efficient treatment and better overall treatment outcomes.

IM's game-like auditory-visual platform engages the patient and provides constant feedback at the millisecond level to promote synchronized timing in the brain.  Exercises can be customized and involve a hierarchy of increasingly complex and precisely timed motor movements intertwined with gradually higher & faster cognitive processing, attention and decision-making.

The Phono-Graphix® reading method has been proven 98% effective in addressing reading problems at any age or ability level, with average gains of over 2 years in word reading and 4 years in word decoding. Phono-Graphix is research-based, developmentally appropriate, simple, concrete, powerful, and affordable.

Phono-Graphix® is remarkably straightforward and sensible, encouraging its popularity among teachers and parents since 1993. It has been successfully utilized in classrooms, clinics, pull-out and RTI programs, bilingual and ESL programs, Waldorf and Montessori schools, pre-schools, home-schools, speech and language pathology practices, volunteer literacy projects and adult literacy programs.

Content is based on the nature of the English code as described by linguists. Instruction progresses from the sound to the symbol.

Lessons employ the requisite three skills to access such a code, as understood within the field of neuroscience: segmenting, blending, and phoneme manipulation.
