When my older son was diagnosed with autism at age 5 and was having diffiiculty reading, one of his therapists recommended Thinkers. He is now 14 attending general ed. science and math and resource for language arts. It has been a long journey and still continues but Thinkers has played a pivotal role in the advancement of his academics and in his personal development.
My daughter, who is also on the spectrum, and is non-verbal , also goes to Thinkers for Interactive Metronome sessions and reading. She is now vocalizing some and is improving in her reading comprehension.
The teachers at Thinkers take a personal interest in all their students finding creative methodologies and teaching techniques to help your child be successful.
My children admire and rspect their teacher, Ms. Effie, and Ms.Effie thinks of them as her own. She gives us courage and hope as she truly believes in our children.
Our sincere gratitude cannot be expressed in words. I just want to say "Thank you".

My daughter was tested and found to be dyslexic. After much searching and researching, we found Effie and the PACE program. Even though my daughter was barely reading and had very low self-esteem, she showed such enthusiam after a few sessions.
My daughter continued over the next 3 months. She was reluctant to return to school as she remembered how frustrating the previous year had been.
Within weeks of returning to school, my daughter's self esteem continued to be high. Several of her remarks confirmed that the PACE program had made a significant difference in her classroom abilities and self esteem.
She was never reluctant to participate in the PACE program. It was fun and she didn't realize the skills she was learning and continues to use.
We have such confidence in the staff at Thinkers and the PACE program, that we will continue with tutorials until she is up to age equivalent.
I personally believe the investment now while my child is in elementary school will continue to reap great rewards in the future!
Sincerely, Patricia C.
My son, J..., (12 years) has been diagnosed with neurological-learning disabilities.
His reading level was around grade 1. He goes to a school that specializes in neurological issues. One can only imagine how difficult it is to not be able to read at grade level.
I expected this to be a very difficult experience for him and Ms Effie. It took only one session with Ms. Effie for me to see that this was going to work. He bonded with her on the first session. She set the rules and he has followed them.
He has continued to make progress in this giant puzzle of reading. He's finally over that first great leap that most students make in or by Kindergarten.
It's been a long journey.
We will continue as long as needed.
